Hey everyone!
First of all happy Easter. I hope everyone is having a lovely time with their family and loved ones. I found Chargrill Charlies to be a great charcoal chicken shop! They're great for their chicken, sides and salads.
I had ordered the 1/2 chicken with chips and fried rice. Our chicken was the wing and the breast. It was juicy and still tender, just the way it's supposed to be.
The service here was great everyone had greeted myself and my man they even told us their recommendations. Next time I'm saving room for their salads. -

This place is OK, but claiming it has the best chicken in Sydney is a lark for anyone who's ventured west of Lane Cove.
The Portuguese Chicken is tasty, while the crumbed chicken wings are way too heavy.
I'm annoyed by the lady behind the counter suggesting we buy the large chips for the two of us. It was so big, we barely got through a third of it. -

Best roast chook in Sydney. Almost always full of flavour and nice and moist, without being undercooked, and LARGE.
A quarter of chicken and chips will leave you bursting, so much is provided, and it'll be so tasty you'll not want to stop.
Portuguese chicken is fantastic, so are their marinated drumsticks, devil wings, wedges & potato bake, and most of their daily specials that change from day to day.
Their chicken schnitzel is where they really let things down. It's always over-tenderised and they try to recover the flavour too much with herbs and spices, over-doing it. The over-tenderizing also leaves it a little thin so it often gets over-cooked too.
Their lasagne, while fantastic, is provided to the chains cold and when ordered gets heated unevenly in a microwave. It really lets it down. It'd be nice if they could warm it up some other way, or in a device that doesn't warm it up so unevenly.
I used to be a regular at their Chatswood outlet, but now visit this one at Neutral Bay almost exclusively - purely due to convenience and current location of home/work. Both of these chains are pretty much identical in food quality & choices. -

Compared to other Chargrill Charlie's this is pretty decent. Their sides and salads taste very nice and the chips are extremely good. I have only tried their chicken once, in which it was pretty good. I prefer Nandos over Chargrill Charlie's but it is still a restaurant worth trying.

Ooooo this is a good chicken shop! Well, to say it is a chicken shop might be selling it a little short. Sure they have delicious, fresh chickens but they also have a large selection of hot chicken dishes like chicken curry, chicken stir fry, even chicken schnitzel plus lots of different salads. If you want my pick of the lot, try a whole Portuguese chicken (better than Nando's!) or if you want to add a bit of flavour to a regular chicken grab a tub of their lemon and herb or chilli sauce - for $1.50 a tub you can't go wrong.
